NEWS AND EVENTS Man found dead A man was found dead Monday evening in a pickup that had crashed into a tree in southern Johnson County and caught fire, the Johnson County Sheriff's Department said. Police arrived at the scene of the wreck at 191st Street and Cedar Niles Rd about 7 p.m. The man inside the burning Ford Ranger was dead at the scene. Authorities were investigating the wreck and did not release the victim's identity Monday night.
