Accident Scene

At approximately 5:17 p.m. on May 3, Johnson County Sheriff's Deputies responded to I-35 and 167th street to investigate and injury accident. They reported a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado Truck and a 1990 Ford Van had came to rest in the median of I-35 Highway after colliding with each other. The driver of the Van, Billy Goff, 45 of Paola, had parked his vehicle along the inside shoulder of south bound I-35 while the driver of the truck, Lori Ewing, 38 of Wellsville, was traveling southbound on the interstate when they collided. The drivers received minor injuries as a result of the accident. Ewing was transported to Olathe Medical Center and Goff to Overland Park Regional for treatment of their injuries. The accident is under investigation by the Johnson County Kansas Sheriff's Office.
At approximately 5:05 p.m., on May 3, Sheriff's Deputies responded to New Century Parkway and Prairie Village, in the New Century AirCenter to investigate an injury accident where a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier and a 1999 Saturn had come to rest in the middle of the above mentioned intersection after colliding with each other. The driver of the Cavalier, Virginia Richey, 68 of Olathe, had been traveling east bound on Prairie Village road as the driver of the Saturn, Todd Carter 30 of Kansas City, Mo., traveled south bound on New Century. the drivers were not injured as a result of the accident, however, the passenger in the Cavalier, Michael Richey 41 of Olathe, received minor injuries and was transported to Olathe Medical Center for treatment.
