Throughout my visit our main objective was to assist any resident needing help. For the most part people had collected their salvageable belongings and moved on. However, there was an overwhelming amount of the elderly and disabled population that had no way of salvaging. At times Command put us on at type of patrol or circulation to look for these people.

On July 4th, 2007 Fire District #1 was given the opportunity to send four firefighters, Tyson Graham, Eric Kramer, Brian Salmon, and Kyle Terstriep, to Osawatomie, KS to assist their fire department with flood relief operations.
